1. Medical Camp

The unit annually organizes various medical camps in the first semester:

  • Blood donation camp
  • Thalassemia camp

2. One Day Camp: Plastic Collection

It is specifically aimed at plastic collection in different habitats. It also involves making the people aware of the harmful effects of plastic. Being human, one needs to take care of nature that supports our life. Each camp approximately collects waste plastic bags of around 80-200kgs. The sites for the activity are eco-sensitive zones such as Narmada River and the Jambugoda Sanctuary.

3. Special Camp: Vyasan Mukti

The theme is very well fulfilled by presenting a skit in the village. It also witnessed plastic collection at the banks of Mahisagar. The primary school students were made aware of the importance of zero addiction. The school students were also shown various science experiments based on renewable energy. The village was painted with various slogans to create awareness. The students also helped the women of anganwadi to conduct a polio survey.

4. National Days

Various national days like Gandhi Jayanti, Vivekananda Jayanti, etc., are well celebrated by organizing competitions such as rangoli, poster making, slogan writing, etc.

5. Swami Vivekananda Kendra

The NSS unit of our college has set up the Swami Vivekananda Kendra. The excelling students are then called for the one-day workshop. To commemorate the day, a slogan-speaking competition ‘Sinhnad’ was also held.

6. National Camps

An active volunteer of our college, Ms. Jigna Patel, has attended 4 national camps: National Integration Camp and National Youth Festival consecutively for 2 years. The National Integration Camp also gave a platform to other volunteers, namely Ms. Akshita Patel, Master Aum Patel, and Ms. Bhavika Vaghjiani, for representing the state culture.

7. State Camps

Uttam Popallia, Jay Korat, Dipen Panchal, and Harikrishna Patel were selected for the state-level leadership camp. They were given training for the making of documentaries. The other volunteers of the college were also inspired to develop their personality through the camps held by NSS.

8. Flag Collection

A unique activity held twice a year is the flag collection to maintain the dignity of our national flag, especially on our National Festivals, i.e., Republic Day and Independence Day. The NSS volunteers go around the city collecting all the paper flags thrown carelessly, which are then disposed of as per the rules of the constitution.
