   The Biology Department at V.P. & R.P.T.P. Science College offers a degree programme (B.Sc.) in Botany and Zoology.

   The Department has 4 laboratories which are well equipped with required number of microscopes, specimens for all courses, slides and charts. Moreover, the department is also equipped with electronic balance, incubator, oven, refrigerator, epidiascope, autoclave, centrifuge, microtone, distillery, UV chamber, slide projector, binocular research microscope, Olympus Trinocular microscope, a rare field microscope.

   Faculty Members of the department are actively involved in research and various field trips with the students of Second and Third Year to get samples.
