Change, is the property of nature. Positive changes are necessary for the growth, development and progress of any individual, any system or any institution. The college has initiated student
counseling in a different way. It aims to establish a dialogue with the students so that both the teacher and the taught can understand each other better. This will break the students' inhibitions and allow them to talk freely about their problems. The committee also approaches the parents to talk about their wards' progress.
For a student,
counseling becomes more effective when three things come together and they are Students, Teachers and Parents. Our aim is to provide a healthy environment to our students where they can grow and flourish. They can develop the qualities like, leadership, decision making, self-confidence, self-reliance etc. They will become better human beings, better citizens of tomorrow with a strong character. We do believe that education with out character has no meaning, as said by the Iron man of India, Sardar Patel.
In counseling, the teacher-student ratio is 1:20. Students are free to share all sorts of activities or feelings about their studies, books, library, leave, hostel, sports, NCC, NSS and any other problems that they face in their day-to-day activities in the college. This is almost like a parent-child relationship. We try to provide an environment to our student where they can grow freely with self-discipline. |
